Psychologist (Provisional)
Claire holds a Bachelor of Psychological Science and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology (Advanced) and is currently undertaking a Master of Clinical Psychology. Claire is registered with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist (Provisional) and is an associate member of Australian Psychological Society (APS). Claire has experience working with children, adolescents, young adults and families. Claire prioritises the importance of creating a safe space and a personalised therapeutic approach specific to the needs of each client.
Claire has experience working with a range of presentation in both children and adults, primarily: anxiety, depression, autism, ADHD and trauma-related issues. Claire has previously worked in a community mental health setting, supporting children and adolescents in the community and through school counselling.
Claire employs a range of evidence-based psychotherapies including Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI). Claire also utilises skills from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) as she emphasises the importance of validation and acceptance in her work with clients.
