Psychologist 

Stacey Walker is a Registered Psychologist providing evidence‑based psychological counselling and assessment for children, adolescents, adults, and older adults, supporting individuals across the lifespan from approximately 4 years through to 70 years of age. She works with clients from neurodivergent and multicultural backgrounds, offering inclusive, respectful, and ethically grounded psychological care. Stacey has extensive experience delivering evidence‑based psychological counselling, including interventions for managing school and workplace bullying, anxiety, depression, behavioural challenges, and adjustment‑related difficulties. She works closely with parents, offering guidance in emotional co‑regulation, parenting strategies, positive behavioural support, and reward‑based interventions. Stacey also provides psychoeducation and counselling to support children’s emotional regulation, frequently utilising developmentally appropriate and play‑based therapeutic techniques.

Her work predominantly involves supporting children and families, including siblings, to foster stronger attachment and improved family functioning together with working with schools and other Allied Health Professionals. Stacey assists parents in understanding and supporting children with suspected or confirmed diagnoses of Autism and/or ADHD, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and/or Intellectual Disability, covering age ranges from early childhood through to older adulthood. She is highly sensitive and attuned to the needs of neurodivergent individuals, with a strong emphasis on patience, compassion, and understanding within ethically based and appropriate therapeutic interventions. Stacey also supports adolescents and adults across a wide range of presentations, including vocational counselling, job interview preparation, social and general anxiety, workplace stress, and life transitions. She provides evidence‑based intervention for individuals experiencing debilitating anxiety and/or depression, as well as psychoeducation regarding the psychological impacts of physical injury and health‑related change.

 

In addition, Stacey can provide occupational rehabilitation counselling, health coaching, and job‑seeking skills development. She has an extensive professional background as a Senior Occupational Rehabilitation Consultant, with experience across New South Wales and additional experience within the Queensland workers’ compensation and other insurance schemes. Her diverse experience within the different workers’ compensation insurance systems allows her to support clients in understanding an insurer and case manager’s regulatory procedural requirements; together with a rehabilitation provider’s processes when a client is seeking clarification. Stacey keenly understands the interaction between one’s mind, body, environment, and circumstance; and how these factors impact upon a person’s daily functioning and abilities to cope.

Her therapeutic approach prioritizes the development of collaborative rapport through listening, interactive engagement, and comprehensive assessment. She works alongside clients to identify the goals that are most meaningful to them to work on; applying ethical, cultural sensitiveness, responsiveness, and evidence‑based psychological interventions to support insight, resilience, and sustainable change across the lifespan.

Stacey works from both the Campbelltown and Moorebank clinics.
